Gentle
spring attractions deepen in intensity come summer. The sensuality
of this time of year in the Valley simply cannot be ignored. The
strong smell of fresh hay, lush and green mountain forests and lively
mountain streams contribute to a summer ambiance that goes straight
to people's hearts. Nestling in this paradise is our Alpine Valley
Resort. It has enjoyed the reputation of being a first class summer
retreat for decades. Meeting at the pool, wandering around in the
best of company of enjoying a cool drink at the bar, add up to a
refreshing experience. The most energetically inclined are improving
their game on the tennis court. In complete contrast, others are
enjoying a game of chess outside. Walking, hiking or mountaineering
are ideal ways of improving body and soul. Archery, boules,
tabletennis and trout fishing - there is scarcely enough time left
for the Martini at Happy Hour. And at the local golf course,
professionals and beginners are equally at home putting their
handicap to the test. |

Autumn
comes to the Valley in a contrasting and beautiful way. Mountains,
fields and forests are colourfully transformed. Mellow autumn takes
summer's place. The warm autumn sunshine greets the Valley. The
thoughts turn once again to curative and health treatments. Piped
mineral water from the Resort's own source provides the opportunity
for up-to-date treatment facilities with massage and fitness
programmes which are a balm for the body, soul and mind. Clear sunny
days combined with pleasant temperatures tempt visitors on memorable
outings in the great outdoors. Along marvellous paths of all kinds
one can admire the most beautiful scenery of the High Tauern
mountains. From the Malerwinkel to the Prossau, from Höchenweg
to Gastein and up to the Reed Lake - fascination prevails, as far as
the eye can see. This is the time of year of special appeal.
Traditional
customs of the Salzburg province are still practised in the Valley.
Autumn sees especially colourful celebrations taking place. The
return of the cattle from the high alpine summer pastures to the
valley below, along with harvest festival, are still traditionally celebrated. |

Winter
sneaks quietly and cautiously into the
Valley. The entire valley gleams white. It will soon be Christmas and
preparations for the year's most beautiful celebration are well under
way at the resort. There's a smell of ginger cakes and candles in the
air: there's a cosy friendly atmosphere around the Valley. Among
friends at the Resort, Christmas becomes a truly meaningful celebration.
Outside
the valleys, mountains and forests are covered in snow offering
endless opportunities for fun. Sunny cross-country skiing routes and
romantic tracks lead direct from the hotel into the Valley.
There
are fast and acary sleigh rides there too. If you are ice-stick
shooting, then schnapps, gluewein or grog will warm you up. Nostalgic
horsedrawn sleigh rides seem almost to melt the ice. On the best
prepared slopes, keen skiiers are in full swing. Lifts up to 9,180ft
ensure that there is enough snow until April. Then, it's time to wave
goodbye to the frozen winter and welcome the warm spring. And all
this, in Salzburg provinces most beautiful ski resort.
Please
book early for winter dates as this is a popular time. |

A
charming, country setting for a natural ambiance and natural
therapies. The therapeutic powers of the thermal springs are
available in-house and used for a full range of revitalizing
treatments. Weight-loss and holistic diets help to encourage a
wellness program to detoxify the body and slim and trim.
The
Resort is located in a wild and romantic Valley amid the glorious
landscapes of a National Park. The Park is a true haven from the
modern world. No cars are allowed in the park; it is protected by law
from construction that would disturb the scenery; no
industrialization is permitted within 30 km; and air traffic above
the park is prohibited.
The
Resort is a self-contained family run village. The hotel itself
consists of five houses with guest rooms furnished in a cozy,
traditional Austrian style. The Main House retains the elegance and
charm of the 19th century, while the Country House is more romantic. |
