Essential
Information for Weddings in Mauritius |
Once
we have confirmed your reservation by telephone, we will require by
return, a signed booking form (which will be forwarded by post) with
your deposit. We will then confirm the wedding in writing and request
copies of the required documentation.
We
require 2
photocopies of the following documents as soon after booking as possible:
Wedding
Application Form
(this
will be sent with the confirmation of your wedding)
Passports
(inside
back page of an EC style passport or the first 6 pages of the
older-styled British passport)
Both
Birth Certificates
Decree
Absolute
(if
divorced)
Deed
Poll
(proof
is required if you have changed your name)
Death
Certificate & Previous Marriage Certificate
(in
the case of a widow or widower)
Documents
received by Weddings & Honeymoons Abroad within 8 weeks of
departure will incur an additional charge.
Please
note the originals of these documents must be taken to Mauritius
with you. If any document is missing it will not be possible for your
ceremony to take place.
It
should be noted that divorced women intending to marry in Mauritius
within 10 months of the divorce pronouncement, will need a local
doctor's certificate of non-pregnancy. |
