"MASTERY, INVENTIVENESS
& CULINARY TRADITION"
|
 |
A
highlight of the Royal Palm experience is the cuisine of its
inspired and talented Head Chef, Richard Ekkbus, whose achievements
have earned the hotel a reputation as one of the island's most
desirable places to dine. There are two restaurants from which to
choose at the Royal Palm.
La
Goelette is the Royal Palm's main restaurant and serves Richard
Ekkbus's gourmet Creole and international dishes from an a la carte
menu. Featuring a romantic terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean, La
Goelette is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. |
And
here's a little secret....you won't find this dish on the menu, but
Chef de Cuisine Ekkbus's Poisson Au Sel must not be missed. This
speciality dish of fresh fish baked in local Black River Gorges sea
salt must be ordered in advance. Accompanied by a crisp glass of
Chablis Cuvee Prestige, it becomes an unforgettable experience.

For
an informal lunch, relax under a magnificent Badamier tree at the
beach bar and choose from a selection of succulent chef's salads
using fresh local produce.
For
a lighter, healthy meal the restaurant at the Health Centre is
another option.
Guests
may also enjoy the informal elegance of private dining on their
balcony or terrace. Nothing could be more enjoyable than a leisurely
breakfast or an enchanting dinner a deux at a table laid exclusively
for you and served by your personal waiter. |
